Skin Rocks, the skincare brand founded by facialist and industry commentator Caroline Hirons, is partnering with One Spa at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa Edinburgh to introduce a professional facial menu this October, according to TheIndustry.beauty.
The deal brings four Skin Rocks facials and an exclusive spa-day package to the Edinburgh hotel, building the brand's second hospitality tie-up north of the border. Earlier this year Skin Rocks struck an exclusive arrangement with Fairmont St Andrews, centred on a bespoke Fairmont x Skin Rocks Signature Facial developed specifically for that resort. Victoria Calcutt, Spa Manager at Fairmont St Andrews, said at the time that "partnering with Skin Rocks felt like a natural fit, not only because of the brand's industry credibility."
The One Spa deal also lands amid a wider refresh of Edinburgh's wellness retail scene. The Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce has noted that Skin Rocks is among the brands featured in a roughly £700,000 investment transforming the city's wellness offering, alongside a NOW Nail Bar relaunch with OPI and a new Reformer Pilates studio, according to the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce.
For Skin Rocks, spa partnerships function as a distribution channel distinct from its direct-to-consumer retail business, putting products and treatments directly in front of hotel guests and spa clientele rather than relying solely on online sales or stockists. The brand, which has built its following on Hirons' skincare education content since she launched her blog in 2010, reported a £10 million turnover without external investment or private equity backing before taking its first growth investment, reported by the Business of Fashion, to fund international expansion.
Skin Rocks is not alone in pursuing hotel spa tie-ups as a growth route. The Dorchester Spa in London appointed La Prairie as its partner in June, introducing personalised facials and an exclusive product line, while 111Skin entered its first hotel partnership at the Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort in Morocco, offering four facials at the property. SPF specialist SunsolveMD has similarly moved into the luxury hotel market through Asaya Spa at The Chancery Rosewood London, per TheIndustry.beauty.
With the Sheraton Grand launch, Skin Rocks now holds exclusive or near-exclusive positions in two of Scotland's higher-profile hotel spas within a single year, giving the brand a physical foothold in a market increasingly shaped by hospitality partnerships rather than shelf space alone.
