BolognaFiere Cosmoprof has acquired majority ownership of Aestetica Beauty & Wellness Exhibition, according to BeautyBiz. The deal hands Italy's largest beauty trade fair operator a controlling share in an event built around southern Italy's professional beauty, wellness and aesthetics operators.

Aestetica has spent years building relationships with salon owners, estheticians and regional distributors across the south, a part of the country where Cosmoprof's own events have historically had less direct reach. Taking a majority stake lets BolognaFiere plug that gap without building a new show from scratch.

For BolognaFiere, the acquisition extends a portfolio that already spans Bologna, Las Vegas, Hong Kong and Mumbai under the Cosmoprof and Cosmopack banners. Adding Aestetica gives the group a dedicated platform in a domestic region where exhibitor and buyer density has kept growing.

BeautyBiz's report names Antonio Bruzzone, Emilio Marzoli and Enrico Zannini among the figures tied to the transaction. Their involvement reflects the leadership layers on both the BolognaFiere and Aestetica sides that will need to align show calendars, exhibitor contracts and sponsorship packages going forward.

The companies describe the move as a way to combine BolognaFiere's international distribution network with the positioning Aestetica has already built among regional operators. Professional beauty brands selling into southern Italy gain one larger event to budget against instead of splitting marketing spend across overlapping regional fairs.

BeautyBiz did not disclose the financial terms of the transaction. What is confirmed is the ownership structure itself: BolognaFiere now holds a majority stake, with Aestetica's existing team staying on to run the exhibition's day-to-day operations and its relationships with southern Italy's salons and distributors.
